    Medicare questions

What people actually ask before they enroll.

Real questions, plain answers. If yours is not here, ask us directly at tracey@tktenterprises.com.

What is the difference between Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement?

Advantage plans bundle your hospital, medical and often drug coverage into one plan run by a private insurer, usually with a provider network and often a $0 premium. Supplement plans pair with Original Medicare, cost more monthly, but let you see almost any doctor who accepts Medicare with fewer surprise bills. Which one fits depends on your doctors, budget and how much predictability you want.

Does it cost anything to use 65Plan.org or talk to an advisor?

No. The Medicare Clarity Check is free, the membership is free, and talking to a licensed advisor is free. Advisors are paid by the insurance carrier when you enroll, the same way it works everywhere in this industry, so there is never a bill from us.

How does the Medicare Clarity Check actually work?

You answer five short questions about your timeline, current coverage, prescriptions, doctors and budget. We score the gaps that matter most and show you exactly what they are, in plain English, before you talk to anyone.

Is this connected to the government or Medicare.gov?

No. 65Plan.org is run by licensed, independent insurance agents at TKT Enterprises Inc. We are not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program. We help you compare private carrier plans and enroll through us.

When do I need to enroll in Medicare?

Your Initial Enrollment Period runs seven months, starting three months before the month you turn 65. Missing it can mean a permanent late enrollment penalty, so this is worth confirming early even if you are not ready to choose a plan yet.

I am still working at 65 and have employer coverage. Do I still need to enroll?

Often you can delay Part B without a penalty while you have qualifying employer coverage, but the rules depend on the size of your employer and how the plan is set up. This is exactly the kind of question worth a quick call before you assume either way.

Will I be able to keep my current doctors?

With Original Medicare and most Supplement plans, generally yes, as long as the doctor accepts Medicare. With Advantage plans, only if your doctors are in that specific plan’s network, which is why we check this before recommending anything.

    Are my prescriptions covered?

It depends entirely on the plan’s drug formulary and tier pricing, which changes carrier by carrier and year by year. We run your actual medication list against real plan formularies rather than guessing.

    What does Medicare not cover?

Original Medicare does not cover routine dental, vision or hearing, and it has no out-of-pocket maximum on Part B. Many Advantage plans add dental, vision and hearing benefits, and Supplement plans limit your exposure to those Part B costs. This is one of the most missed gaps.

Can I switch Medicare plans later if I change my mind?

Yes, during the Annual Enrollment Period each fall, and in some cases during a Special Enrollment Period if your situation changes. We also send a yearly plan review so you are not stuck with a plan that stopped fitting.

How much does Medicare actually cost per month?

Part B has a standard premium set by the government each year, plus whatever your chosen plan adds, which ranges from $0 for many Advantage plans to $150 or more for a robust Supplement plan. Your Clarity Check budget answer helps us find real options in your range.

What is Medicare Part D and do I need it?

Part D is standalone prescription drug coverage. If you choose Original Medicare plus a Supplement, you generally need a separate Part D plan, or you can risk a late enrollment penalty even if you take no medications currently.

I am helping a parent choose a plan. Can you work with me directly?

Yes. Many of the families we help are adult children coordinating on behalf of a parent. We are glad to walk through it with you, with your parent, or both, whatever is easiest.

What happens after I finish the Clarity Check?

You get your score and gaps immediately, no waiting. You can join free to save your results, and you can book a free 30 minute call whenever you are ready, with zero pressure to decide on the spot.

Do you sell my information to other companies?

No. Your answers are used to prepare for your own call with a licensed advisor at TKT Enterprises, not sold or shared with outside marketers.

What is the difference between Medicare and Medicaid?

Medicare is federal health coverage based mainly on age or disability, available regardless of income. Medicaid is a joint federal and state program based on income and assets. Some people qualify for both, which changes the plans worth considering.

Can I get help in person, not just over the phone?

Several of our advisors meet clients in person for exactly this reason. Tell us your area on the call and we will match you with someone who can meet face to face if that is what you prefer.

    What states do you serve?

Our licensed advisors serve clients nationwide, with a home base in New York’s Capital Region. Wherever you live, we can find an advisor licensed in your state.

I turned 65 years ago and never enrolled. What now?

You may be paying a late enrollment penalty without realizing it, and you likely have options to enroll now during a valid enrollment period. This is worth a call rather than guessing on your own.

How is 65Plan different from just using Medicare.gov’s plan finder?

The plan finder is a good starting list. What it will not do is ask about your specific doctors, medications and budget the way a person can, then explain the tradeoffs in plain language and actually enroll you when you are ready.

How do I reach a real person right now?

Call (518) 937-6170 directly, email tracey@tktenterprises.com, or finish the Clarity Check above and book your free call from the result screen. A licensed advisor, never a script reader, will be on the other end.
